Modern Garden by Alford's English Gardens Inc. Alford's English Gardens Inc. is pleased to introduce the Modern Garden ; this is a beautiful transformation located in the heart of Cerritos. This unique landscape design consists of contemporary form and function of multiple outdoor living spaces that offer the homeowners a peaceful escape to be used year-round. The design incorporates a thoughtful layout that relates multiple components of the spaces together, which incorporates a beautiful pre-fabricated, porcelain tile-paved patio that contains clean, architecturally modern geometry. The patio space is met and integrated with beautiful cedar planters, containing a draught-tolerant and drought-tolerant selection of native plants. The garden will look beautiful year-round, and build a practice of sustainable gardening. One of the major challenges of constructing this garden was the topographical issues on the site and poor drainage. Our skilled team addressed these issues using a unique drainage system that both protects the garden from excess water intrusion and plays an important role in the overall landscape design. The completed is a lush space that will be enjoyable in every season. The Modern Garden is finished off by a beautiful and functional fire pit area, ideal for evening entertainment, and complemented with top-of-the-line furniture to make both restful and social engagement a highlight the Modern Garden. Lastly, the design included an important water feature; we chose and installed a beautiful sculpture that becomes a visual focal point while providing a calming source of sound. This displays attention to detail and high-quality work, representing our commitment towards excellence. Every component of the was carefully chosen to really create both thoughtfully cooperative design standards, and overall exceed client expectations.
