Mediterranean Succulent Garden with Repurposed Fountain At Alford's English Gardens Inc., we are excited to present our most recent , the Mediterranean Succulent Garden with Repurposed Fountain, built in Southern California. From Cerritos to Laguna Nigel, we transformed a cookie-cutter backyard into a luxurious oasis of Mediterranean delight. We have employed various drought-tolerant succulents, including Echeveria, Agave, and Sedum, blended together to provide a varietal garden with visual intrigue. The reclaimed fountain completes the space with a beautiful restoration. It has a calm and relaxing sound with the trickle of the water falling back into the basin. Alongside the solar fountain, we were able to create a beautiful view of the entire garden space while also providing movement without disturbing the overall ecosystem, attracting insects, birds, and other wildlife. While designing this garden, and deciding the placement of the reclaimed fountain, we were challenged with drainage and irrigation to the fountain and surrounding succulents. Along with water-saving techniques for sustainability, we used permeable pavers and a native soil blend. Overall, we were able to construct a Mediterranean sanctuary full of color and style that our client can enjoy and utilize with family and friends. From planning to execution, we took great care to pay attention to detail and give our clients a relaxing space, whether for guest entertainment or for their enjoyment alone.
