Located in beautiful Central Valley, this showcases our dedication to quality construction and creative design customized to the specific needs of the Johnson family. During our first consultation, the Johnsons requested an outdoor space that served both function and aesthetics, as well as a natural connection between their home and the surrounding environment. We did this by including an eye-catching array of features, such as a custom-stamped concrete patio that provides fantastic natural stone appeal with durability and low maintenance. We filled in the perimeter of the patio with colorful drought-tolerant plantings that are suited to the regional climate and also provide color year-round. The uneven ground in the back yard was one of the big issues we ran into. This included some very clever ground levelling by our team that helped creating a multi-level landscape that also acted like a drainage system but looked magnificent too. One of them was building a lovely dry stone retaining wall using locally sourced soft materials that effectively retained soil while maintaining the beautiful natural environment. We added subdued outdoor lighting that illuminates the dense greenery for a cozy atmosphere when we entertain outside in the evening. The finishing touch was a fire pit area for family and friends to gather around to tell stories under the stars. Today, The Johnson Backyard is a beautiful manifestation of what intentional design and better materials can produce on your own private oasis. The results were a huge hit with the Johnsons and we obtained great feedback how we've brought their vision in a seamless manner!
