About This Project

Hillview Funeral Chapel Joe's Landscaping & Concrete, Inc. completed the Hillview Funeral Chapel , a peaceful memorial that also incorporates nature with remembrance. It was specifically designed for families in Crows Landing, Gustine, Newman, Patterson, Santanella, Modesto, Westley and Los Banos, as a place to find peace with their loved ones nestled in the heart of the Central Valley. Their landscaping focuses on native plants, which are resource-savers both through the guide you can follow and the lavender and ornamental grasses you can grow. So, to add to that tranquillity, we designed winding walkways out of local flagstone to lead guests through the flower beds and into peaceful places to sit. Permeable pavers enhanced drainage while minimizing the chapel's green footprint. The involved a great deal of difficult site topography, one of the major challenges experienced across the various stages of the . Expert use of terrain grading gives the landscape a harmonious flow while keeping the surrounding beauty intact. We also included a calming water feature to play double duty as both a focal point and a meditative element, allowing visitors a moment of contemplation as the gentle sound of flowing water washes over them. The end result well and truly blew the clients out of the water, the garden surrounding the chapel became a place of serenity. The soothing combination of textures, hues, and organic materials allows grieving families to find solace and be surrounded by nature.
