Tahoe - An Outdoor Oasis Transformed by Ventures Design Ventures Design is excited to present the Tahoe landscaping , a magnificent transformation that fosters our passion for quality and creativity in outdoor spaces. Based in Michigan, the was painstakingly crafted for an exacting client in an affluent community in West Bloomfield, Michigan. The expansive Tahoe was just over 3,000 square feet and included a mix of natural stone walkways, perennial gardens, and water features that coalesce into an inviting retreat. The local fieldstone that was used for the patio added beauty and durability to the already attractive appurtenant features of the house. The site's sloped topography presented the team with challenges that were addressed with terrific implementations of tiered garden beds to stabilize the sloped landscape and add depth to the overall design. The primary focus of the Tahoe landscape is a reflective koi pond that has a waterfall as a secondary feature. Native aquatic plants were introduced to enhance the pond while attracting wildlife and promoting biodiversity. In addition to having a reflective pond, energy-efficient LED lighting was presented to highlight the landscape's features later in the day and add evening atmosphere to the entertaining space. Each element contributes to the unique space and ensures gatherings are lively even through the night. The also utilized drought resistant plants to help minimize water usage while maintaining vibrant color through the seasons. Additionally, the exceeded homeowner expectations and transformed their backyard into an oasis that blends with the natural environment.
