The included a beautiful custom pergola made of quality cedar, which is strong and beautiful wood and a design style with intricate latticework that adds grace and provides shade and sunlight. A swing under the pergola creates a beautiful spot for the client to snuggle up with a book in the afternoon, or gather with family on summer nights. The design of the swing supports the pergola with not only a cozy place to hang out, but also weather-resistant materials to ensure it will last for years to come. The pergola is surrounded by lush native plantings that were established to thrive in the local climate, such as blue hydrangeas and beautiful lavender. These plantings created an area that not only creates scents, but colors to the area as well. One of the most important challenges faced in this was the slope of the property. The talented team at Nilsen Landscape Design created a foundation which took the slope into consideration for proper drainage, while taking into consideration the overall contours of the landscaping into account. Not only did they take time with the functional , they tried hard to integrate the lifestyle of the through visual . The final result proved to be beautiful and was completed in no time at all. Overall, it was a luxury backyard break that met the client's expectations, in appearance and functionality. On completion, the client brought us sign for their home, which boast their beautiful new outdoor living space for family and friends, one that also suits the neat neighborhood aesthetic of Cambridge.
