Residential 2 by Kennon Williams Landscape Studio At Kennon-Williams Landscape Studio, we pride ourselves on creating stunning outdoor spaces. Located in the beautiful area of Charlottesville, the Residential 2 exemplifies our vision of quality and innovation. This particular was unique in that the challenge came from the sloped site condition and the rocky nature of the soil. This unique site condition required planning and special solutions. We began by forming terraced gardens which not only provided aesthetic beauty but also brought some water management. We used material that was sourced locally in stone, with a reasonable function of retaining walls as part of the solution that formed confidence in structures while contextualizing and contributing to the surroundings. The gardens were built with a variety of native herbaceous perennials and shrubs that diversified beautiful plantings for sustainability for the family and our local pollinators. We designed a captivating area using natural flagstone for the patio which integrates with the landscape and provides a harmonious place to relax and gather. Complementing flagstone, we built custom wood benches and fire pits which always create comfort inviting friends and family to enjoy the outdoors and become cozy together. As in transportation for most of our s, weather can always create challenges for the finish process. In addition to weather, sometimes the hardest part the process is limited site access. Our skilled workers navigated access (and weather) for the and gave the homeowner a great finished product well before the deadline of the completion date. The end result is garden that transforms the environment of the home while crafting the vision of the homeowner. The homeowner expressed to us their loved, and cared , their garden, while complimenting the for them. This gave the property even greater value, while creating a private retreat for the family for many years to come.
