Residential 4 - Kennon Williams Landscape Studio The 'Residential 4' was inspired by the beautiful natural setting of Charlottesville, Virginia, and created by Kennon Williams Landscape Studio. This completely transformed a residential space into an elegant, functional, and overall stunning landscape design. This landscape is a perfect blend of natural beauty and modern landscape design, as it serves as a serene escape for the homeowners. The included an exquisitely detailed and multi-tiered garden design with many native plants that receive ample sunlight. High-quality, locally sourced stone was used to create well-designed retaining walls in the landscape that visually enhance the . A winding pathway of permeable pavers allows guests to enjoy the rich green space, while strategically placed outdoor lights illuminate the landscape during the evening and create ambiance for evening gatherings. One of the difficulties our team faced during the 'Residential 4' was the very steep slope of the property, which created an erosion risk in rain events. Our team utilized innovative drainage to mitigate erosion and created the water feature: a cascading fountain. The fountain not only looks beautiful, but creates a soundscape that attracts local wildlife- creating another lively dimension for the ecosystem. The final product was representative of the successful blend of hardscaping and softscaping designs, ultimately exceeding the homeowner’s expectations. The homeowners are now able to enjoy the landscaped outdoor space, including a charred wood fire pit area surrounded by ornamental grasses and colorful flowering shrubs suitable for family gatherings. The 'Residential 4' is a true example of the quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail that Kennon Williams Landscape Studio provides, and it left an imprint on the hearts of the residents and on the neighboring community.
