About This Project

Intimate Colour by Carolina Landscape, Inc. The 'Intimate Reception' was the vision of an outdoor event space and provided the perfect home for a memorable gathering, making it the ultimate for Carolina Landscape, Inc., located in the heart of Charleston. This transformed backyard to an oasis nestled in the corner is beautifully cared for by our team that serves the stunning locations of Folly Beach, Isle of Palms, Johns Island, Kiawah Island, Mount Pleasant, North Charleston, and Sullivans Island. Our first step in the was an extensive analysis of the site, which let us determine how to best utilize the space and achieve modern living without compromising on the beautiful natural environment. Incorporating flowers, palmettos and azaleas that are native to the area by our accomplished landscape architects, the design works in harmony with the ecosystem while offering year-round color and texture. However, the biggest challenge of all was the land itself not just how bumpy it was, but more the slope of the various fields leading down to the dam and grading leveled areas of land for seating and dining. We then decided on a custom flagstone patio that while blending into the landscape, was able to be both durable and beautiful and the perfect amount of space for guests to mingle. We further accentuated the intimate ambience with soft outdoor lighting sprinkled throughout, making evening events as magical as the days. In supplementary to those, an undisturbed water feature with a modest fountain not only remedied an expectation but provided captivating sounds that married the entire experience. The end product was a stunning space that our clients were thrilled with and they have now imagined spending time with family and celebrating in their own backyard. This 'Intimate Reception' illustrates the high-caliber craftsmanship, detail, and customization that defines a Carolina Landscape, Inc. experience.
