About This Project

Fountains in the Landscape | Park Slope Design Set against the beautiful backdrop of Santa Fe and Taos, Park Slope Design is excited to present “Fountains in the Landscape,” a that incorporates fountains into the natural beauty of outdoor landscapes. The was created for a thoughtful client that lives in the Santa Monica area, showcasing the meaning of quality and creativity in landscaping. The design includes fountains that each were built and designed with a unique purpose and sustainability in mind. We utilized local sandstone and high-quality unique water-friendly materials to add a sustainable aspect to the fountains as decoration and a function. The sound of the water flowing soothes by instantly creating a relaxing experience and an environment for contemplation. Another challenge we faced included the property’s unlevel nature. This required a considerable amount of grading and landscaping to achieve a proper flow of the existing irrigation and improved drainage systems. Our team creatively accomplished this with tiered landscape that creates visual interest, while maximizing functionality. The result was an enhanced functioning and improved overall quality of topography and drainage for the overall landscape. The included a selected list of native plants to highlight the existing environment that were strategically placed in and around the fountains to provide a lush and lively environment. We selected native plants that are drought tolerant and thrive in the local environment, which emphasized a low sustainability landscape. The final result of the created an incredible oasis that merges art and nature, and the three fountains created an experience for the client and their guests. The landscape transformed the property by integrating lush plant materials to become a relaxing peaceful space for contemplation that captures the essence of the region. The outcome of the reflects the commitment to craftsmanship, creativity, and happy clients at Park Slope Design serving Santa Fe, Tesuque, Taos, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Albuquerque, and Culver City.
