GATES IN THE LANDSCAPE by Park Slope Design Situated within the beautiful sights of Santa Fe, GATES IN THE LANDSCAPE is a reimagined landscape design by Park Slope Design. This landscape design combines functional beauty and the natural environment to create a pathway to peacefulness in an otherwise busy world. Our team began with an in-depth site analysis and examined the unique topography as well as the vegetation of the surrounding area. The will consist of custom-designed gates that are both an aesthetic as well as functional enhancement, built from sustainable cedar and iron. The gates add character to the entrances while capturing the nature inspired feel of the Southwest. One of the challenges we encountered was working with the sloping terrain of the property. This presented challenges, but also required innovative solutions related to drainage and accessibility. Our team mastered the grading of the landscape to help water flow properly, while providing walkways made of native plants such as lavender and yuccas - which bloom proudly during summer months. For the pathways, we used permeable pavers to ensure minimal environmental impacts while still adding a feeling of beauty and contrast to the thriving green surroundings. Additionally, lighting was used in soft placements along the pathways to enhance safety during the evening, and provide some stunning ambiance during dusk. The end result is a stunning landscape that highlights the natural environment and invites you to experience it with pauses for serenity and contemplation. The happy client told us they were blown away by the amount of serenity we created, and the magical feeling the provided. Park Slope Design craftsmanship on GATES IN THE LANDSCAPE has created a centerpiece for the surrounding community that showcases the best of both form and function while celebrating the beauty of Santa Fe.
