WalkwaysWe have one of our newest s Walkways on display in the beautiful towns of Cochituate, Concord, Framingham and more. This was designing walkways which are functional and good to look at as they integrate with the natural landscape. We combined the best materials, such as natural stone pavers and permeable concrete, to create strong pathways that tested homeowners as they moved through their gardens and, at the same time, stimulated environmentally-friendly drainage. The walkways were also patterned and textured for safety and aesthetics. The biggest challenge was getting over the topography and where existing landscape features are. We utilized creative grading solutions to create a smooth, level surface avoiding drainage pitfalls while preserving existing flora. Low-voltage LED lighting inlaid along the walkways offers an element of safety when the sun goes down, while providing a dramatic feature to the landscape and a warm, inviting experience. It creates a sense of elegance with a continuity that serves to unite the properties while maximizing the curb appeal as well as the nature connection. We transformed the walkways and to this day, our client cherishes us as the walkways now act as their gorgeous invitation into the beauty of their garden.
