The development started with a site analysis, so grounds could be designed specifically for the site's unique topography and microclimate. Our clients wanted a tranquil oasis for privacy and entertaining. We chose all drought-tolerant plant palettes with focus on native plantings that need minimal watering, ensuring vibrancy 365 days a year while creating sustainability. A highlight of this was the beautiful stone walkway made from locally sourced flagstone, guiding visitors through the gorgeous gardens filled with imaginative succulents, enticing lavender, and ornamental grasses. The range of natural materials complements the coastal vibe and durability in the elements. One challenge was how to navigate the existing hardscape and blend it seamlessly with the new landscaping. Our crew did an extraordinary job of adjusting the layout to the work site and relationship to outdoor space whilst keeping all of the functionality. A low maintenance irrigation system was designed and installed for easy-water for every plant to achieve the best results. The most special part of the has to be the custom outdoor living area with a contemporary fire pit surrounded by ample seating to entertain close friends and family as the sun begins to set. Soft lighting blushed the fire pit making sure sunshine turned breath-taking evening scapes. With the strategically placed planting, this outdoor living area offers incredible opportunities that our clients love. When this was complete, 'Santa Monica Elegance' exceeded our clients' expectations and became a neighborhood must see.
