We serve the communities of Forestville, Fulton, Geyserville, Guerneville, Healdsburg, Larkfield-Wikiup, Rio Nido, Santa Rosa, Villa Grande, Windsor and Sebastopol, and took on this special landscaping to create a colorful recreational area that blends effortlessly into its vineyard setting. The consisted of a well-designed bocce ball court surrounded by native vegetation accenting the vineyards' natural aesthetic. We used the best local materials available, including the crushed granite top for the court, to provide an exceptional and long-lasting playing surface. The plants included in the storm-water sensitive landscape were chosen on the basis of drought tolerance and aesthetics that grow well in the area's natural environment and will provide stunning greens, purples and golds at different parts of the year's growing cycle. One of the major challenges we had on this installation was incorporating the court into the existing topography was maintaining a sense of the vineyard's character and integrity. Our skilled team had to level the entire court site to provide us with proper drainage and the cutest view of the rolling hills and grapevines. The also involved building a couple of custom wooden benches from reclaimed wood for gathering family and friends to enjoy the beauty and camaraderie that bocce can provide. Ultimately, we provided a final product that exceeded the client's expectations by creating a beautiful, usable space for social interaction and relaxation. The blend of recreational elements and the environment of the land only improved the aesthetics of the property but also provided an important space for family gatherings and friendly competitions.
