Country Manor by Liquidscapes Located in the scenic backdrop of New Jersey is the country manor by Liquidscapes that exemplifies an amazing beauty and proportion to elegance and utility. The country manor serves a reputable area including Alpine, Short Hills, and Princeton while undertaking a thorough renovation of a vast estate that brought forth the requirement of skill and craftsmanship for a successful installation. The presented a large undertaking, due to the complex sloping landscape and the existing vegetation that needed to be woven into the new landscape architectural aesthetic. Liquidscapes' team of landscape experts tackled this hurdle by modeling a series of new grades, resulting in beautiful transitions to the garden beds and various outdoor living spaces. The important component of the country manor was a large patio of locally harvested bluestone which served as a durable and attractive base for use and entertaining. The space surrounding the patio was adorned with a variety of local vegetation designed for usefulness and low maintenance. The planting scheme centers around attractive native perennials and ornamental grasses, and it establishes an arrangement of flowering, evergreen and colorful grasses which blossom through every season producing a feast of view. In addition, we proposed to create a very natural-feeling water feature - a pond with a decorative waterfall made of natural stone and gravel - which became a peaceful realization of design and worked to showcase the surrounding natural beauty while bringing the water element into play and serving as a habitat as well. Also, a bit of privacy was needed to help the homeowners enjoy their new space in seclusion from their neighbors. To achieve this, we installed an attractive border of evergreen trees and fence, where needed, for privacy and aesthetics. Lastly, the light was considered and executed for areas of focus while entertaining outside in the dark. The result is a stunning landscape to bring a beautiful elegance and sophistication to the visual joy derived from use and nature.
