About This Project

Jamaica Plain Entertaining Area & Built-in Spa We at Nilsen Landscape Design, LLC are thrilled to present the Jamaica Plain Entertaining Area & Built-in Spa , a which has transformed outdoor living for our client. Located in a vibrant neighborhood of Boston, we brought together luxurious outdoor elements to create an inviting space for relaxation and entertainment. The design includes a remarkable multi-level entertaining area boasting natural stone patios and custom-built seating to enhance connectivity and conversation. We installed locally sourced bluestone (a both durable and timelessly elegant hardscaping material) around patio seating, allowing for a seamless, classy experience. Light fixtures were placed throughout the patio area to create an inviting ambiance, enhancing night time events. A built-in spa was also designed and constructed, surrounded by luscious plants, to allow the client an escape from city life. Slope of landscape posed a unique challenge; therefore, our team of experts crafted inventive natural boulder retaining walls that stabilized the slope while adding a rustic element to the landscape. We also included native plantings, in addition to a careful selection of trees, to promote sustainability and low maintenance while creating vivid and resilient year-round planting. The finished area is a stunning outdoor oasis that exceeds expectations. The new design engages with natural styles aligned to enhance outdoor lifestyle and hosting friends and family.
