Fountaingrove Front Garden by Geared for Growing Landscape Services Located in the picturesque community of Fountaingrove, our most recent undertaking transformed a standard front garden into a magical oasis, both practical and beautiful. The client requested a welcoming area that would increase the curb appeal and allow for peaceful get-togethers with family. Geared for Growing Landscape Services developed a design with graceful stone paths, lively flower beds, and a striking garden water feature that invites the soothing presence of water into this design. The design included thoughtfully selected materials, including river stones sourced locally and drought-tolerant plants that will survive in Sonoma County. There were challenges to implement this design and to address the conditions of the site, which included uneven grading and areas of poor drainage. We addressed these by grading selected areas of the site and installing a runoff and drainage system that improved the management of water and will help preserve the overall landscape. The final incorporates a pleasing variety of textures, colors, and shapes provided by our native plant selections which also attract local wildlife and will offer seasonal shifts to the overall design. The calming sounds of the bubbling fountain provide a soothing element to the garden environment created by the former front yard, while the strategically planned landscape lighting ensures the beauty of the design continues into the dusk of the evening. "We love it," says the client, who is overjoyed to have the original front-yard space transformed into one that reflects his lifestyle better and improves the appearance of their home.
