Located in the heart of Sammamish, this features a beautiful combination of hardscaping and softscaping elements that enhance the family’s outdoor experience. At the center of the is a custom-built, natural stone fire pit that is perfect for enjoying the outdoors and experiencing warm evenings under the stars. Surrounding the fire feature, we also created comfortable, weather-resistant seating using high-quality teak wood that matches the natural landscape around it. To create an inviting atmosphere, soft ambient lighting was installed in strategic locations to highlight specific features while providing warm light for nighttime entertaining. Water is an essential feature in this outdoor paradise. A beautiful water feature, engineered with modern lines, cascades down into a tranquil pond, creating a soothing background and attracting local wildlife. Functionally it serves as a focal point, while complementing the natural wildlife habitat and visual balance in the space. Several obstacles presented themselves along the way, including a steep slope which required innovative engineering. We engineered durable, locally sourced basalt stone into retaining walls that created tier levels, while preserving the natural appearance of the site. Once the hardscape was finished, our landscape architects carefully selected only native plants that promote sustainability and require little maintenance, ensuring ecologically beneficial biodiversity while ensuring the garden always has some part that is thriving. The result is an outdoor living space that beautifully integrates a fire feature and a water feature together, providing the homeowners with the perfect place to relax or entertain people outside.
