This is not only design-driven but also translates into functional outdoor space improving curb appeal while serving as an oasis for the homeowner. This ambitious began with a thorough consultation to understand the client's vision, lifestyle and environmental conditions. We were challenged by existing sloped terrain which required thoughtful planning. To create a level area for entertaining/relaxing, we developed a multi-tiered retaining wall system entirely constructed of locally sourced natural stone that in any setting, would keep the landscape in conjunction with the site and surroundings. The plan also included a vibrant arrangement of color providing drought tolerant perennials and ornamental grasses that would be tough enough to survive in Kansas. We installed a winding path constructed of reclaimed brick that flows through the gardens while boulders and mulch beds add depth and perspective. We incorporated sustainable practices by including an efficient irrigation system that reduced water to keep plants looking healthy. We were also able to design and build an intimate fire pit area with comfortable outdoor furniture to create even more family time or quiet evenings, extending outdoor living. In conclusion, not only did we complete the on time, we exceeded our client expectations transforming their outdoor oasis into a beautiful landscape that represents their personality and lifestyle. In the end, the result was beautifully constructed with all considered while using quality materials under the craftsmanship of Three Trails LLC. The finished product displays their investment and is a true standout in the Overland Park community. It generates many conversations from both our clients and visitors to their home.
