Bolton Landscape Design & Masonry Inc. presents our recent a beautiful Mosaic Flagstone Patio with coordinated seat wall, built for a sophisticated client in the beautiful town of Weston. The represents our commitment to quality-work and creativity of transforming a previously unused backyard to a colorful outdoor living space. The patio is built with an amazing mosaic pattern using quality flagstone. The material was used due to its beauty and durability, and we obtain our flagstone locally from quarries. We custom cut the flagstone and placed each stone to maximize the beauty of the stones’ designs, resulting in a pattern that if both visually beautiful and blends in naturally with existing landscape. The flagstone turned out to be beautiful containing a variety of colors and shapes that creates an inviting space for entertaining or relaxing. In addition to the patio, we constructed a custom seat wall using the same kind and quality of the flagstone to create another space for family gatherings and outdoor dining. While designed, we carefully considered the height of the wall, so customers could enjoy views of their backyard garden without obstruction while being comfortable. The end product of this seat wall was functional while, at the same time, creating an inviting and graceful enhancement to the outdoor space. During construction, we were faced with these challenges related to uneven ground, along with innovative solutions, that were important for grading and drainage location. Our excavation and installation methods were successfully executed to promote proper drainage and performance around the patio and ultimately keep the durability of our backyard. Ultimately, we were successful at integrating form and function, designing an outdoor area that will be a continued oasis for the client year-round.
