Working Description: Hunterdon County Colonial - Liquidscapes At Liquidscapes, we take great pride in the 'Hunterdon County Colonial' , a perfect example of our dedication to the highest level of landscaping in the finest communities in New Jersey. This was located in Hunterdon County, and it strongly represented our commitment to turning outdoor spaces into lovely outdoor retreats. The colonial home design had elegance but utilized some of the modern functional components. We selected a planting palette that was primarily native planting, which allows for sustainable and less maintenance. We included a collection of flowering perennials plants, boxwood hedges, and ornamental trees to create a plant palate rich in color and texture with the seasons. One major challenge was the property itself, which had a considerable amount of slope that needed solved for effective drainage and soil stabilization. We incorporated tiered retaining walls made with locally sourced natural stone made the landscaping much more aesthetic and structurally sound. This portion added a lovely visual, while providing a way for water to run off, while offsetting erosion and optimizing plant growth. We also completed a custom stone flagstone walkway to a custom outdoor patio, creating a lovely entertaining space. The outdoor patio was made of premium bluestone, providing durability and timeless style. The patio was built with beautiful garden beds surrounding it and landscape lighting, which we provided a setting for family and friends to gather in the evening times. The finished, 'Hunterdon County Colonial' had a beautiful landscape that married the lands surrounding and the architectural style of the home together. The client was extremely happy and even mentioned that their lawn enhanced their property value, but more importantly, changed their lifestyle by providing a cultivated environment for family and friends to enjoy the outdoors.
