Daniel Island Modern by REMARK At REMARK, we are passionate turning outdoor spaces into beautiful, usable landscapes that enrich the beauty and livability of our clients’ homes. Our latest , ‘Daniel Island Modern’ exhibits this commitment to our clients. Situated in the picturesque setting of Daniel Island, this landscaping is a thoughtful mix of contemporary landscape architecture and nature. This scope included a full redesign of the outdoor space incorporating seamless hardscaping and softscaping. We utilized high-quality materials, such as local natural stone and sustainably harvested hardwood decking, to create beautiful pathways and a multi-level terrace which encourages relaxation and entertaining. A striking water feature mimics the calm flow of adjacent waterways, anchoring the garden and further establishing a sense of calm. One of the biggest challenges we faced was the sloped nature of the site. Our talented team designed and implemented drainage solutions, and retaining walls, which provided long-term functionality while maintaining aesthetic appeal. We selected a rich palette of native plants, including ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs, and low-maintenance perennials. All of which will thrive in the local climate and contribute to the establishment of beneficial wildlife. The end result produced a modern landscape that seamlessly blended form and function with lush plantings complementing the hardscape. Most gratifying for us was hearing the client’s delight for what had become their outdoor oasis and in their words, “a retreat for both family gatherings and quiet nights outside.” At REMARK, we believe that every is an opportunity to provide beauty and sustainability.
