Tarrytown Side Yard by GreenScapes Landscaping & Pools This side yard makeover in the heart of Tarrytown demonstrates GreenScapes Landscaping & Pools dedication to quality and innovation. The took place in a small (but challenging!) area of property, but the goal was to create a unique, beautiful, and very functional outdoor space that represents the design and architecture of the home. The design included a variety of native plants, such as Texas sage and ornamental grasses, creating a pop of color and low maintenance. A whimsical path of locally quarried flagstone also connected the areas around the yard to direct visitors through the beautiful green space. To add to the space’s functionality, our team also incorporated a comfortable seating corner with custom benches made from reclaimed cedar, perfect for enjoying the beauty of the surroundings. One challenge imposed by this particular site was an uneven slope across the area, requiring some grading and soil stabilization to create a flat and balanced landscape. Our team developed the drainage to not only address potential problems caused by excess water, but also create a pretty dry creek bed as an added value to the current botanicals. The end result is a breathtaking outdoor area beyond what the clients hoped for. The side yard, which was severely under-utilized, is now a space they can take advantage and be happy spending time in. This demonstrates the skill and performance of the GreenScapes team and illustrates our dedication to creating landscapes that bring beauty and happiness to our clients.
