Modern Entryway by McCullough's Landscape & Nursery Turning a home entrance into an amazing focal point is not something just anyone can doit take vision and creativity and skill, and that is exactly what McCullough's Landscape & Nursery provided with their "Modern Entryway" . Located in the charming suburb of New Albany, the finished improved curb appeal and provided a welcoming entryway. After our talented crew extensively discussed the overall vision with the client and the meeting the original landscape of the site, our experienced crews got to work. The stone pathway we designed to connect from the end of an existing driveway to the front door is a light gray bluestone, which we sourced locally to increase durability. We placed pathway lighting to complement the path while adding safety and ambiance for night access. Low-maintenance, yet interesting planting was established with a blend of ornamental grasses and perennial flowers. Native plants were also used, supporting local fauna while being self-sustaining in open areas for further sustainability and community pride. The seasonal blooms contributed interesting color that artistically contrasted the formal rectangular design of the walk. The uneven front yard elevation of the property created challenges that required creative designs for grading. The team formed tiered planted beds that improved visual appeal and offered superior drainage to prevent water from collecting and damaging established plants. A large, wooden trellis on the corner of the walkway was fitted with growing vines to draw the eye upward for depth and vertical interest. In the end, the stunning entryway was a beautiful combination of modern landscaping with a purposeful use of natural materials that exceeded the client's expectations. In the all the of connectivity and material choices created a welcoming entryway for guests while emphasizing the homeowners individual style. This stands as a testament to the excellence in landscaping by McCullough's Landscape & Nursery while serving Bexley, Blacklick, and greater Columbus with pride.
