Barn House Landscaping - McCullough's Landscape & Nursery The 'Barn House' with McCullough's Landscape & Nursery is an example of an incredible transformation that preserves the rustic nature of the countryside while incorporating modern landscaping techniques. Located in the heart of Greater Columbus, this was thoughtfully planned and executed with the quality and craftsmanship that is the cornerstone of our work. The included a complete redesign of the landscape surrounding the barn-style home. We included a robust selection of native plants to enhance the visual appeal while supporting local biodiversity. Drought-resistant perennials and ornamental grasses were strategically incorporated to produce a low-maintenance, lush landscape. A natural stone path connected all spaces and created a warm and inviting fire-pit area with seating to promote time spent with family and friends outdoors. One of the challenges we encountered with this was the sloping landscape, or a hill, surrounding the existing home. Our landscape design team graded the landscape, from the house to the street, to ensure adequate drainage and to create tiered planting beds to provide depth and visual appeal. To fit the barn style of the property, we included reclaimed wood features and rustic fencing to tie into the existing natural landscape. The finished is an extraordinary outdoor space reflecting the homeowner's goals in a way that perfectly complements their lifestyle. Beautiful quality design and materials with expert workmanship not only uplifted the curb appeal of this barn-style residence, but it became an inviting and enjoyable entertaining space for family and friends.
