A Lovely Courtyard Completed by Colorado Vista Landscape Design, Inc. In the heart of Fort Collins, we transformed the outdoors for our happy clients with 'A Lovely Courtyard,' a complete overhaul from a boring, unused area, to a beautiful oasis of elegance and function. At Colorado Vista Landscape Design, Inc., we have a passion for addressing the unsightly and underutilized! The design featured a beautiful palette of native Colorado plants using drought tolerant, perennial, and ornamental grasses, that provide year long beauty, while conserving water. The new stone patio is the highlight of the space and is made of locally sourced flagstone. There is enough comfortable gathering space for family celebrations, or a quiet evening under the stars. We finished the atmosphere with a cozy fire pit in a warm and forgiving design with a comfortable seating arrangement that invited laughter on those chilly nights. We managed the mood even longer by adding soft outdoor lighting throughout the landscape elements to highlight the textures while extending the evenings outdoors. The first challenge we faced with the was in leveling the site, which had concerns in hilly terrain. In the , we worked hard to level and grade the site while ensuring the natural character of the landscape domains remained attractive, safely managing drainage and ensuring stability. Completed was a beautifully designed environment of hardscape and softscape that attracts you in, to sit, lounge, and socialize. My clients are thrilled to have an upgraded courtyard that is now a special gathering spot for them and their family.
