About This Project

The Conservance The ultimate in relaxation spaces, 'The Conservance,' is a prime example of how this full-service landscaping company was able to take a sprawling residential estate and turn it into an outdoor oasis. This harmoniously blends nature and modernity, beautifully situated on the rolling hills of Loudoun County. We had some uniquely challenging obstacles to overcome as our yard is on a slope and some parts of the area were shaded for part of the day. We used progressive grading to resolve this, creating a base to support proper drainage and access before establishing this landscape area. Native plants were chosen not only for their aesthetic appeal, since they can still be beautiful and colorful, but also for their sturdiness, promoting local biodiversity and reducing water consumption. The Conservance incorporates custom stone patio space made of locally-sourced bluestone, providing a more permanent and pleasing spot for outdoor entertaining. In this example we have a colorful perennial garden with a mix of textures and colors bursting through the seasons wrapping around the patio area. The design features a serpentine path of reclaimed brick winding between abundant greenery and quiet seating spaces. Afterwards, the ended with a beautiful water feature, a peaceful pond with a flowing waterfall, that not only provides attractive features but also helps attracts local wildlife to the area and enrich overall the ecosystem. When this outdoor lighting shines on the landscape, it creates an evening ambiance that brings magic to your home. The outcome of The Conservance surpassed the expectations of the client and gave them a serene space that combines both utility and beauty.
