Outdoor Fire Pits by Snow Creek Landscaping, LLC At Snow Creek Landscaping, LLC, we recently finished a stunning outdoor fire pit which has turned an outdoor area into a cozy outdoor getaway for our clients in the greater Asheville area. From Arden to Swannanoa, we love creating meaningful landscapes that reflect our clients' dreams and desires while bringing together outdoor living spaces. The fire pit started with a thoughtful conversation the desired quality of the gathering area and the warmth of an evening around the fire stargazing. The particular location was slightly sloped which presented a challenge of stability and accessibility to the space. We carefully used great natural stone and pavers that would withstand the test of time while complementing the surrounding space. The fire pit was designed circular in shape, with seating made from reclaimed wood and lighting to create a magical outdoor experience. Drainage was a challenge because of the slope which warranted planning and innovation on our part at every turn. Our team incorporated a drainage system that positively influenced the water flow while enhancing the aesthetics of the landscape. Additionally, we realized the need for native shrubs and ornamental grasses around the perimeter of the space to enhance the privacy and color of the landscape throughout the different seasons. The turned out terrific! The fire pit, now a highlight in their backyard, invites family and friends to tell stories, roast marshmallows, and listen to the sounds of nature around them. My clients expressed how positive the experience has been and how much more they are enjoying their outdoor space which added to the value of their home.
