Saratoga Pool by T.H. Norton Landscape Architecture, Inc. At the base of a tranquil hillslope, the 'Saratoga Pool' identifies a focused effort by T.H. Norton Landscape Architecture, Inc. to showcase their passion for beautiful landscape architecture. Serving the lovely communities of Alamo, Blackhawk, Clayton, and beyond, our team created an outdoor vacation space that reflects the natural environment. The heart of the is a beautiful freeform pool surrounded by carefully chosen native plants for the site creating a balance of architecture and nature. Using quality material like natural stone coping and textured pool tile, the amenities are completely aesthetic but are durable and require nearly no maintenance. Surrounding the pool is a large terrace made from sustainable composite decking to provide enough room cuddle up and relax with family and friends and enough space for the owners to host themed barbecues and parties. Decorative lighting designed and installed by our landscaping team provided evening ambience for all times of the year. A specific challenge with the site as a sloping surface. Our impulsive design solution was to create tiered garden beds to break up the sleeved slopes to add an element of interest while regulating surface water. The team also designed an aesthetic yet functional drainage system to ensure longevity for the landscape free of erosion and degradation. The result is a beatuiful oasis including a sustainable garden composed of native, drought resistant plants, a koi pond, and areas to sit comfortably. The owners were so pleased with the transformation are eager to tell us the new space has become their go to place to spend time with their family and friends! The 'Saratoga Pool' is an example of T.H.
