Hardscape Development Description: Las Colinas by Austin Outdoor Design Inputers Located in one of Austin’s most beautiful locations, we are proud to showcase the ‘Las Colinas’ as a true testament to the artistry and skill of Austin Outdoor Design. Conceptualized by the client, this beautiful landscape transformation incorporated native plants, hardscaping, and water features that combine to mirror the natural landscape of Barton Creek and Lakeway. One of the challenges was the slope of the land as it needed to look functional but yet still needed to be treated for eye appeal. Using remote stone from the area for retaining wall and paths, we not only strengthened the property but also worked with the local character of the region. We marry sustainability and eco-friendliness with our use of drought-resistant plants by using low-water consumption; the combo allows us to conserve water. At the core of the is the calm water body, that adds tranquility to the surrounding experience. This ability, combined with purpose-built lighting, gives the client to use this area outdoors day and night. Every aspect of the design was reflected, from the material selection to the garden bed arrangement, in these residents' personal style; a close collaboration with the client throughout the design process ensured its success. Once the ‘Las Colinas’ was completed it added significant curb appeal to the property and created a peaceful oasis for the client and their family to enjoy beauty and function together. Pleased at the integration of nature with design, our client confirms ‘Las Colinas’ is another testament to Austin Outdoor Design’s quality craftsmanship and commitment to excellence in custom landscaping.
