The began with a detailed meeting to identify the client's vision for the remodel, which included creating outdoor living spaces that would be usable for family gatherings as well as entertaining large groups of people. Waibel & Associates provided a context for the work and created a plan of the layout involving both indoor and outdoor spaces. As part of the remodel, the team designed a custom patio made of durable, yet beautiful, paving materials (eco-friendly, of course!) that could withstand wear and tear from the daily changing elements. The addition of an ambient water element would enhance the accommodation of sound while pulling in local wildlife to add to the scenery. Edible and low-maintenance native plant material was selected to complement the designs and cyclical blooming of flora, as well as survivability in the dry climate. Sloped areas were one of the larger challenges throughout the remediation, specifically grading and utilitarian retaining walls to provide usable outdoor space while preserving the natural beauty of the existing site. Waibel & Associates included high-quality retaining wall material to provide structural support while blending into the landscape. Overall, a beautiful landscape emerged from the 'Home & Garden Remodel' that not only matched the client's goals, but exceeded them! A lush landscape that provides usable outdoor spaces and vibrancy creates a wonderful immersive space to relax and enjoy with family and friends.
