Back Yard Renovation - Waibel & Associates Landscape Architecture Located in Ahwatukee, Waibel & Associates Landscape Architecture planned and executed a complete Back Yard Renovation that redefined outdoor space for the course. Our goal was to create the perfect combination of practical and beautiful landscapes that were customized to meet the client's every area of interest. This was a large scale renovation that had an intricate design for layout encompassing a multi-zoned space for entertainment, relaxation, and gardening. We built a substantial flagstone patio that became the focal point for entertaining, along with customs, seating walls that tied together the home and landscape. High quality materials were used in the construction including natural stone and sustainably sourced wood. One site challenge was a sloped backyard which required design resolution for grading level spaces for the patio and planting beds. We designed and built tiered planters using a colorful assortment of drought tolerant plants and more flowers that got their colors from the Arizona landscape, while keeping water conservation in mind. We also built and installed an irrigation system that conserves water and sustains the green landscape. A fire pit was installed at the corner of the patio, encountering an assortment of native desert plants, for cool evenings, and soft "landscape" lighting, illuminating the plants for ambiance and safety. The finished product was breathtaking, not only did we meet the client's expectations, we surpassed them greatly. The combination of the thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and attention to detail created a customizable back yard getaway capable of entertaining family and friends. The client, now proud to use the space outdoors is another example of Waibel & Associates commitment to quality landscape architecture for clients in Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe.
