Villa Park Landscaping by Altera Landscape Altera Landscape recently developed a single-family home in Villa Park to create a beautiful outdoor space welcoming to the homeowner and their family as desired. This brought together beauty and function in a desirable form and function landscape that also blended with its surroundings. The design included a detailed layout with drought tolerant plants, native plants, and blossoming shrubs that are good for an attractive, usable landscape and withstand local weather requirements. Altera Landscape utilized great quality materials including natural stone for the walkways, elegant patio pavers, and custom wood trellises and screens for aesthetics as well as structural support for climbing plants. One of the main challenges was working with an uneven lots’ elevation. The talented team at Altera Landscape leveled the yard and created tiered garden beds that improved both the depth of the landscape and minimized erosion from heavy rain and animal traffic. A modern irrigation system was also installed to support a flat yard in water management to promote sustainability. The highlight of the Villa Park is the exceptional outdoor living area that includes a custom fire pit and low seating for the homeowner and guests to entertain or enjoy quiet evenings and starry nights. The heavy landscaping offers a tropical oasis feel with gems and herbs nestled along the meandering pathways. The finished culminated with the client’s excitement for the landscape and expressed satisfaction with the work and aesthetic conversation of the function and beauty. Altera Landscape again, has delivered a fantastic landscape that perfectly enhances the character of Villa Park and assures the family will enjoy their new outdoor sanctuary for years to come.
