Description of the Pasadena Showcase House by June Scott Design The Pasadena Showcase House is a stunning example of the incredible craftsmanship and creative potential provided by June Scott Design. Our team worked to meet the demands of an eclectic client base within the rich neighborhoods of Los Angeles, including Alhambra, Glendale, and West Hollywood. When confronted with challenges, we made every effort to embrace what was originally the scope of a large estate. We began with a complete assessment of the existing landscape, which included uneven topography and a significant lack of sunlight. The goal was to transform the unappealing space into an ability to escape the hectic environment outside, so our design included the utilization of various plant materials that were considered native to the California climate, to alleviate maintenance needs and provide sustainability. The plan included a picture of plant material that was a combination of luscious foliage, flowering plants, and hardscape to help create inviting pathways and seating areas. The overall picture of the home and our picture is illustrated with valuable materials like locally sourced stone for the patio and decorative boulders to mimic the natural topography of the area. Moreover, a tranquil water feature was installed as a focal point to enhance the quality of beauty and provide biodiversity by providing welcome for local wildlife. Our skilled group provided solutions to drainage challenges by investing in a smart irrigation mechanism. This allowed for care and assurance for every plant while saving water. The final product is a beautiful landscape that adds a compliment to the architectural expression of Pasadena Showcase House. The clients were especially pleased with having space that clearly represented a strong sense of place for outdoor living, encouraging both entertaining guests and leisure.
