Wilkens Residence - Landscape Installation by ServeScape At ServeScape, we specialize in creating useable outdoor spaces through beautiful landscape installation. The Wilkens Residence was a great example of our commitment to quality and creative solutions. Located in the heart of Alpharetta, this specific offered an interesting mix of challenges and opportunities, which our team embraced with enthusiasm. The overall vision for the Wilkens Residence was to develop a beautiful outdoor space that is relaxing and ties into the natural surroundings while also creating usable spaces for family gatherings. With this in mind, we were able to blend sustainably sourced native plantings with drought tolerant landscape and architectural elements that uplifted the aesthetics of the home. Some of the highlighted features of the were the beautiful stone patio designed from locally sourced bluestone, which became the perfect gathering space for family and friends. To finish off the patio we installed a variety of lush ornamental grassy and flowering shrubs which added color and texture year-round. In addition, we also incorporated a quiet water feature, designed to look like a natural spring, as well as the flowing water sounds which attract wildlife to the landscape. There were challenges associated with the property, especially around managing wastewater. However, through use of a French drain system, we were able to direct water away from the foundation without compromising the integrity of the landscape design. Our team was also told to integrate larger existing oak trees into the design, which we framed by integrating new plantings to seamlessly interact and look right in nature. Overall, we created a bright, sustainable landscape that added curb appeal to the Wilkens Residence, and also provided an overall relaxing experience to the home. The clients were beyond convinced, chiming in the aspects of detail and quality of craftsmanship.
