Colorful Walled Los Feliz Landscape The 'Colorful Walled Los Feliz Landscape,' designed and completed by Ketti Kupper Conscious Life Design, re-envisions outdoor living in an vibrant and calming palette that enhances the dynamic Los Feliz neighborhood. It included beautifying an outdoor urban space through design to create a whimsical garden oasis that showcases a multitude of native plants existing year-round. The unique elements of the landscape include a stunning assortment of artistic stone walls, designed and constructed with local materials that provide both definition and privacy. These walls have active climbing vines and flowering plants that add a colorful element against the warm stone. The design also incorporated efficient and sustainable water practices through the use of drip irrigation systems that maintained the health of the plants. While there was an initial challenge presented by the elevation of the backyard and limited sunlight, the plants used were selected as adaptable and shade tolerant, demonstrated through creating tiered garden beds. The final design is incredibly beautifulan inviting and warm escape to match the artistic nature of Los Feliz. The clients loved the eye-catching green plants, colorful blooms, and new sense of engaging functional outdoor spaceperfect for family gatherings, or too, just a moment of quietly reflecting in nature. Ketti Kupper Conscious Life Design is thankful to work with a landscape that not only meets, but exceeds its clients' expectations as well as facilitates a renewed opportunity to connect to nature in the heart of the city.
