Summary: Silver Lake Garden by Stonepocket Unique Landscapes Located in the beautiful heart of the Twin Cities, the Silver Lake Garden is a demonstration of the artistry and craftsmanship Stonepocket Unique Landscapes is known for. Serving the communities from Bloomington to Wayzata, we were chosen for the task of turning a picturesque little backyard into a remarkable outdoor space that enhances the lovely natural surroundings. We began the with a complete assessment of the landscape, recognizing opportunities to make it more functional, while staying true to the peaceful essence of the location. The design included a beautiful mixture of native plantings combined with striking hardscapes that would use locally sourced stone and sustainable materials. A custom stone patio is at the heart of the , and organically flows into a winding gravel walk that graciously takes the visitor through a kaleidoscope of flower beds and lush foliage. One of our main challenges was the use of pitch on the property, which required creative and innovative grading strategies for proper drainage, and terrain stability. We were able to level the land expertly, while creating tiered planting beds which created visual interest and made the experience more accessible. The design also included a calming water feature with a beautiful water fall that produced lovely sounds and attracted varied local animals. The resulting landscape is a perfect combination of beauty and usability featuring many varieties of perennials and ornamental grasses blooming throughout the seasons, the clients were thrilled with the transformed spaces, and were especially appreciative of the flow of spaces in the garden, and the inviting atmosphere created for family gatherings or an evening calm for two.
