Milford CT, Woodmont Region At Gardens by Design of Connecticut, LLC, we are excited to transform outdoor space into beautiful and usable landscape. Our recent in the stunning Woodmont section of Milford CT, illustrates our commitment to quality and ingenuity. The included a full redesign of a residential yard, exploring the balance between a new approach to the planting of native plants and nature-based solutions. This also included the use of high-quality materials, such as using locally sourced stone for walkways and retaining walls, which are not only durable but blend wisely with the natural feel of the site itself. Our team constructed beautfiul curvilinear paths made up of native plants, in order to promote biodiversity and efficiency in water use, all the while tending to the ecological function of the site. One of the main challenges was tackling the steep grade change of the property. Our landscape architects implemented a design proposal for tiered garden beds, which were visually pleasing but also served important contributions to drainage and stabilization of soil. We offered a water feature as well, which orients the desired ambience of flowing water, comfort for lounging, and to attract wildlife. All-in-all, the provided a beautiful landscape that surpassed the expectations of our clients. Careful planning of functional elements such as seating and lighting complemented the landscape and designed inviting spaces for gatherings. We paid attention to detail while keeping in mind our commitment to high-quality and sustainable landscape practices in order for our work in Woodmont to satisfy our clients and support the natural environment.
