Milford Chinese Courtyard Garden The Milford Chinese Courtyard Garden, designed and installed by Gardens by Design of Connecticut, LLC, is a striking example of the beauty of traditional Chinese landscape design. This is situated in the center of Milford, showcasing our dedication to the highest quality craftsmanship and design in and for the surrounding communities of Ansonia, Derby, East Haven, Fairfield, Orange, Shelton, Stratford, West Haven, Woodbridge, and Woodmont. From the start, our goal was to develop an accessible getaway that acknowledged the landscape surrounding it and captured the important serene aesthetics represented in a Chinese garden. Ultimately this design was created with a progressed sequence, or pattern, in an intricate layout that features a central koi pond and is embraced with soft plantings of flowering cherry trees, bamboo, and rocks to represent mountains in traditional Chinese landscapes. Along the garden we used natural stone pathways and elegant wooden bridges to enhance the transitions, which progresses visitors through the journey in a peaceful walk. Natural topography changes were one of our challenges on the site. We proposed creative grading to maintain universal accessibility and represent the design direction we achieved. We then assembled a creative design team that identified high-quality and durable materials, from locally sourced stone to frame structures from select hardwood structures that are meant to stand the test of time. The finished is an extraordinary courtyard that our client absolutely loves! The presence of water, the colors of each blooming flower, and the attention to is a perfect setting for its use of restful relaxation. This illustrates our commitment to great landscaping but shows special place for the design to existing culture and incorporate natural elements to enhance the landscape that surrounds it. Now our happy client can settle down to a slice of their own newly created tranquility; representing the special artistry of Gardens by Design in Connecticut, LLC.
