Hillside Home 3D Rendering by Karen Aitken and Associates The 'Hillside Home 3D Rendering' at Karen Aitken and Associates took place on the hills of Los Gatos; the is a delightful combination of creativity and function. Our job was to take a challenging steep property and create an outdoor wonderland that would respect the beauty of the area's natural landscape. Through using 3D rendering, we carefully created various features such as terraced gardens, winding stone pathways, and an outdoor room with a custom-built fireplace. Native plants that resist drought were selected to ensure sustainability, and seasonal annuals provided an abundance of color year round. Quality materials, such as locally sourced stone walls and sustainable hardwood for the decking, were used for durability as well as aesthetic value. One of the major challenges of the was the active steep slope of the property; we had to engineer all of the terrace walls to create stability without interfering with the natural drainage of the existing landscape. Our team was able to develop a system that produced stable structures while also allowing for visual flow of the landscape. The end result was breathtaking and succeeded in the client's expectations; it provided them with a relaxing space to unwind and entertain. The Hillside Home is a concrete example of both quality workmanship and our desire to create landscapes that enhance the beauty of the landscape in which they are placed. This not only shows what we produce as a business but also demonstrates our dedication to sustainable landscaping in the many beautiful landscapes we explore from Palo Alto to Pebble Beach.
