About This Project

Baker Landscape Transformation | Bloom Concrete & Landscape Design Thanks to Bloom Concrete & Landscape Design, this gorgeous 'Baker' is located in the backdrop of sweeping Steamboat Springs scenery. Our team teamed up to convert this traditional backyard into an outdoor haven we call home, serving the beautiful Yampa Valley and beyond, Routt County. These unique topographical features and existing flora informed our design during an extensive site analysis in the early stages of the . We designed a garden with native drought tolerant planting in a tiered layout providing ground cover to stabilize the bank and continuous colours throughout the seasons. We used high-quality materials, like local stone for a gorgeous retaining wall that is both structurally sound and an aesthetically stunning focal point. One of my major challenges was the terrain and the steep gradient. Our professionals came up with a plan to level certain places while keeping natural slope so proper water action can be happening without causing soil erosion. We also installed a custom irrigation system that conservatively utilizes water that promotes plant growth while minimizing environmental impact. Once nearing completion, a custom rustic stone path, weaving through vibrant flower beds, escorted guests through the , creating spaces for discovery and access to nature. A warm and cozy fire pit area with comfortable seating was also included so we can gather our friends and enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting. Not only did the outcome achieve the ed goals, but even surpassed the ensures made to the client. With stunning functional landscape built for both living and leisure, the 'Baker' is now a beautiful balance of both. Their transformed outdoor space is now an oasis and a hub for entertaining friends and family, and the client was over the moon with the end result.
