The Front Yard Update, located in lovely Palm Desert, demonstrates Garza Concepts quality and creativity. This front yard transformation was intended to reinvigorate an aging landscape while addressing multiple dilemmas created by the surrounding climate and terrain. We removed the outdated plantings and hardscape that didn't support the homeowner’s desired aesthetic and chose native and drought-tolerant plants that will thrive in the Coachella Valley’s dry environment, creating a sustainable and low-maintenance yard. Wife were looking for a welcoming entry, so we designed a beautiful pathway, made from native flagstone, to guide visitors through vibrant collections of succulents and ornamental grasses. The pathway serves a dual purpose: it is beautiful, as well as functional for traversing through the front yard to the entry. We focused on many , and the lighting is another to mention. We installed LED, energy-efficient lighting that lights up the pathway and highlights special features of the landscape in an inviting way. Throughout the process, we continually referenced modern design with the original character of the home and neighborhood. Initially, we drew inspirations from the surrounding desert landscape to choose colors and materials that respect the built form. The final transformation is a beautiful and welcoming front yard, exciting the homeowners. There is plenty of texture, colors realize the landscape and form an integrated front yard design. The homeowners are thrilled not only with the transformations to their story but also for a better value and to garden space to enjoy solitude and gatherings.
