Located in beautiful Waterford, this exemplifies the LandServe commitment to landscapes for life. At the heart of the terrace is a beautifully designed double hearth fireplace crafted with locally sourced weather resistant stones that allude to the classic architecture style of Romanesque design. The fireplace serves as a functional gathering spot that serves as a focal point for warmth and entertaining outdoors. Surrounding the fireplace is a generous amount of seating with custom-built benches and comfortable cushions that promote family gatherings and the ability to entertain guests comfortably and in style. To achieve visual interest and enhance the terrace, the site team woke up a variety of native plantings which provide seasonal color and texture that will keep the terrace looking fresh throughout the season. Lovely pathways made from reclaimed brick usher the visitors through the terrace and the passageways feign historical sight that we would expect from an entry of a Romanesque design. The only drawback of this site was in the sloping nature of the terrain. Because of this, the LandServe site team carefully graded the slopes and provided retaining walls to create a level surface to build the terrace. We used quality, sustainable materials to make sure it was durable, while still minimizing our impact on the environment. Upon completion, the client was very pleased with the renovation that took place on their property. The Romanesque-style terrace is not only a valuable addition to the value of the property, it is also a retreat that illustrates a seamless combination of outdoor living.
