Located in the heart of the Greater Metro New Orleans Area, this was designed to add curb appeal while creating a functional and inviting area for the homeowners. The process began with an extensive consultation to gain an understanding of the client's vision, tastes, and lifestyle needs. After reviewing the existing site conditions of the yard, we quickly realized there were quite a few challenges that stemmed from poor soil and uneven terrain. We were able to form a plan of action, so the end product lasts long term. We carefully stripped the yard of the old, tired grass and debris and prepared the ground for a clean slate. We selected a few premier sod varieties that have excellent durability and pleasing aesthetics to pair well with the Louisiana subtropical climate. The sod being installed was a very exact process, ensuring proper trajectory and density to create a seamless green carpet. The sod was a significant investment afterall, and we wanted it to be admired every time family and friends passed by. We paired the sod with beautiful garden beds that are the visual centerpiece of the landscape. These beds were specifically designed based on the homeowner's preferences, using premium quality locally sourced soil, along with their selection of vibrant, drought-resistant plants that do not only survive but thrive in the New Orleans area. Each element and aspect of the design were purposefully done to achieve an ideal consistency of color and texture contrast, within the same plant families to maximize visual interest in each seasonal growth cycle. Although the was largely smooth sailing when it came to the install of the new landscape, we did encounter a few challenges along the way, including the holidays bringing unexpected weather patterns and we had to kick back our plans a little while longer. Additionally, it was apparent that extra drainage was needed to respond to local conditions. All of these issues were overcome by our knowledgeable team of professionals who utilized ingenuity to ensure the final product met and exceeded our client expectations. The end result was a beautiful front yard, not only meeting function, but the aesthetic appeal of the new lush sod lawn and flourishing flower beds. The homeowners were delighted to see such curb appeal and such a comfortable space for family and friends to gather. It's a great space to sit and relax.
