About This Project

Two Rivers II The 'Two Rivers II' was also completed by Chuck B Edwards Landscape Architecture & 3D, redefining outdoor living within the spectacular Idaho landscapes, serving the communities of Boise, Eagle, Garden City, Kuna, Meridian, Star, McCall, Payette, Sun Valley and Nampa. This lofty landscaping turned a space with limited use into a beautiful and functional oasis, seamlessly melding natural parkland with high design. At the heart of Two Rivers II is an elaborate water feature that takes inspiration from the surrounding rivers, providing a serene atmosphere to relax and contemplate. Made from local stone and native plants, the water feature acts in harmony with the natural environment and provides shelter to local wildlife. It was nice to see how the team also designed winding paths of permeable pavers to create more access while facilitating better drainage to help with the region's periodic flood-related issues. The site is relatively hilly, and that was one of the major challenges encountered during this . The landscape architects handled the contours artfully, using terraces and retaining walls where needed, making the views more dynamic as well as keeping the ground in place and preventing erosion. As a culmination, the final output is a combination of utility and aesthetics. Native plantings were hand-selected for the surrounding climate, low in maintenance and sustainably flourishing. Custom seating areas, fire pits, and outdoor living spaces are designed for gathering and entertainment, while this lighting does its job to make it lounge-ready after dark. The client was amazed at how the detail carried over into the functionality and how the natural integrated so well together. Q. Unlike a building, a landscape is often less exacting in outcomes.
