Pheasant Chase - Patio and Retaining Wall by Donnellan & Sons Landscaping Located in the beautiful community of West Hartford, Pheasant Chase is a gorgeous landscaping that reimagines outdoor living. Donnellan & Sons Landscaping was hired to completely transform the space, creating a functional, beautiful patio and retaining wall for our wonderful clients in the Farmington and Avon area. The started with a detailed consultation with the client to discuss their desires and needs. The design included a large patio areathat was ideal for entertaining and relaxingalong with a beautifully constructed retaining wall that added beauty to the landscape and stabilized the surrounding landscape. We chose to use natural stone with durable pavers to ensure the patio and retaining wall not only would hold up for years to come but would also fit seamlessly into the landscape. The patio was thoughtfully designed to blend numerous spaces for dining, lounging, and a cozy fire pit area, to create an inviting space for family and friends to gather. As is often the case with residential landscapes, we encountered challenges, such as uneven ground, and difficult drainage areas. We worked to create reasonable solutions for water management and structure. Our team expertly graded and pitched the site, created a reliable drainage system, and reinforced the wall to help with erosion, creating the best solution in both forms and function. The final product is a stunning outdoor space that surpassed the clients' expectations. The natural stone's warm color tones and intricate paver patterns brought a beautiful focal point to their landscape. The client could not have been more pleased and expressed how happy they were to have beauty and function coincide.
