About This Project

Hixson Lake Estate Dream Gardens Landscape Design & Installation is excited to share this transformation of landscaping at Hixson Lake Estate just outside of Chattanooga. The whole demonstrated our dedication, our ethos, and quality; which spoke volumes and showcased our skills in building beautiful outdoor space. The Hixson Lake Estate was particularly challenging because of a steep slope and differing soil types. Using ingenuity in grading, our team crafted a lush, tiered landscape in harmony with the natural contours of the property. We planted native plants which not only complement the estate itself but also provide for the local wildlife to ensure ecological balance. The best features of the included integrating a calming water element that reflects the serenity of the lake, as well as stone work, including selecting and obtaining the stone locally. It provided added visual interest and solved water drainage issues by allowing for erosion prevention and better water management on the property. We also created a gorgeous patio area using beautiful permeable pavers, with a long-lasting surface for outdoor entertaining and filtered rainwater foliage through, reducing overall runoff. Ambient lighting in the gardens invites residents to stay out into the evening, drawing emphasis to the greenery and architecture. All utilizing durable, high-quality materials and expert craftsmanship ensure maximum functional and complementary to the surrounding landscaping. The end result was nothing short of an outdoor oasis that exceeded the clients expectations and was exceptionally aligned with their image of an ideal outdoor lifestyle.
