About This Project

Morrowcroft Master Bath Addition by Coogan's Design Build Located in the desirable Morrowcroft neighborhood, this celebrates Coogan's Design Build's expertise in landscape design and home improvement. More than just an addition, this melds indoor comfort and outdoor beauty to create an enjoyable experience that serves the home aesthetically and functionally. The landscaping was intentionally created to complement the clean lines and contemporary finish of the new master bath addition. We worked to incorporate a design that featured native plants that thrive in the Charlotte climate. The use of native azaleas and gardenias brought new meaning to ''bathroom'' with fragrant aromas and a more soothing retreat experience just a couple of steps from the bath. To further enhance the ambience, natural river rocks were placed and a stone path meandered through the landscape to a cozy sitting area amidst the earthy green tones. Seeing how hilly the landscape was, creating the right grade was a challenge. Then, add the drainage issues already occurring and we had to work around those opportunities to create a sustainable landscape. Our team included a permeable paver to create walkways and drainage pavers to keep water flowing instead of pooling areas in the yard. Ultimately, ensuring clean, healthy and thick growth of landscaping and water to saturate the ground was contributing to a sustainable landscape. The end result was an extraordinary pairing of nature and architecture that just had to wow the homeowners, as they too had a peaceful space that targeted the beauty of home and replaced it with a personal oasis.
