Temple Hills Residence Located on a beautiful hillside in Laguna Beach, the Temple Hills Residence showcases how nature can beautifully merge with design. This comprehensive landscaping transformed what was once an everyday yard into an amazing outdoor space focused on how the client’s refers to their yard and their needs. The new features a stunning collection of native Californian plants, hand-selected for their durability and low maintenance. Drought-tolerant plants, including exciting succulents and lightly scented lavender, were centered in each garden as a way to add fun color, excitement, and something that will grow well in the surrounding climate. A beautiful stone pathway, made from locally-sourced natural flagstone, runs through the garden, encouraging exploration and ease of movement between outdoor living spaces. One of the most significant issues we faced with the was the steep slope of the property. LandFluent's amazing team took advantage of the slope and implemented terracing techniques with natural boulders and decomposed granite to create functional levels that looked good. The stone terracing produced an amazing visual sensibility, while managing water runoff, limiting erosion, and creating a sustainable landscape. To extend the livability of the outdoor space, we incorporated a custom fire pit area into the space with seating designed for comfort and relaxation around the fire. The inviting seating arrangement was nestled into the side yard, surrounded with vegetation. This intimate space is an inviting place for family and friends to gather and enjoy all that an outdoor living space has to offer. In summary, this beautifully merges good form and function, which meets our clients need.
