About This Project

Biltmore Manor LandFluent Landscape Architecture is excited to unveil the Biltmore Manor , a spectacular renovation in the heart of Laguna Beach. This expansive residential landscape allows us to showcase our creativity and craft to the highest standards. The scope included several design features including an intricate drought-tolerant garden that highlights native California plants, ornamental grasses, and colorful flowering perennials. High-quality elements included natural stone pathways, reclaimed wood decking, and custom-built raised garden beds. The steep topography of the site proved to be a major challenge for Biltmore Manor. To address this challenge, we utilized a series of terraced gardens that enhanced the design aesthetics while providing water drainage and soil retention to improve site grade. The terracing allowed us to create functional outdoor spaces while still preserving the natural form of the land. We also installed an irrigation system that is tailor made to the distinct plant varieties to help contribute to lower water consumption while nurturing a lush landscape throughout the year. Luxurious outdoor living amenities such as a custom fire pit and water feature were part of the landscape plan, offering homeowners (and their guests) a tranquil place to escape. The end experience is a stunning landscape that beautifully compliments the natural environment and enhances the natural beauty of the Laguna Beach area. The client was ecstatic the outcome, and they shared that they appreciated the attention to detail, application of functionality, and a blend of artistry.
